Adriana Degreas' show at the Sao Paulo Fashion Week was sublime sophistication. Inspired in the private pool parties from the '30s, her creations evoked the ambiance of a Hollywood Golden Age era, where eroticism and sophistication were blended in the right doses. Click for more!

The cultural diversity of Brazil, especially those expressed in artisans' work and in the country's fauna variety, served as the theme of Paola Robba's 2011 collection. Inspired in part by photos in the book "Brazil - Portrait of a Great Country" (1959, by Ellen Bromfield Geld; Stefan Geyerhahn, Ed.), Paola created colorful, texture-rich patterns, complemented by delicate (less extravagant) hardware. Cia Maritima's show at the Sao Paulo Fashion Week 2011 brought together the most international cast of models in the event. Besides the Brazilians Isabeli Fontanta, Izabel Goulart, Emanuela de Paula, Guisela Rhein, Juliana Imai and other household names, ten international models were casted, including Christa Verboom, runner-up on Holland's Next Top Model. Continuing our coverage of Sao Paulo Fashion Week's swimwear shows last week, we now take a look at Agua de Coco's 2011 collection. Inspired by the World Heritage sites currently distributed among 17 locations in Brazil, swimwear designer Liana Thomaz's compositions beautifully explored the historic sites in graphics, cutouts, folds, drapings and braids. The theme was masterfully executed by Agua de Coco's creative team, conveying an urban flair to the pieces that is distinguished and very sophisticated. Click for the full review!
