The last designer swimwear to cross the runway at Sao Paulo Fashion Week's 2013 Summer edition was luxury beachwear label Adriana Degreas. Yesterday night, Adriana presented a collection with a multitude of metallic elements, in golden and silver - found in fabrics, applications and accessories.

Inspiration: Bahia, "All Saints' Bay" - a state in the northeastern region of Brazil, with a rich African-Brazilian history. The line paid homage to local female slaves from colonial times, as well as modern "baianas". Golden and white featured heavily in the collection, as well as transparencies. Lace, crochet and embroidered details, typically found in many crafts from local artisans added texture to the pieces:
