Fashion Rio Summer 2013: Poko Pano
After a four-year hiatus from Brazilian runways (Poko Pano has been launching collections at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Miami for the past years), Poko Pano introduced its 2013 Summer collection to Fashion Rio's audiences last Saturday.
Inspiration: Salvador (capital of the northeastern Brazilian state of Bahia, renowned for a rich Afro-Brazilian culture and vibrant street carnival). Colors in lively shades (yellow, orange, reds, greens) are found throughout the collection. Prints with floral and foliage elements as well artisanal work (crochet, patchwork) are also included. Bandeau tops and mixing of prints continue to be the strong bets by Paola Robba for her label:
