Rounding up our coverage of designer swimwear labels gracing the Fashion Rio - Summer 2011 edition are the long-established brand Blue Man and newbie Triya.

Blue Man's collection is reminiscent of the Spanish region of Andalucia, with flowery details, paisleys and a dash of Islamic inspired art in some patterns. Black and reds were strong shades from the palette and details included grommets, pressed sequins and black cirés. Think of the collection as what Bizet's sensual gypsy Carmen would wear to the beach!



Triya is a beachwear label launched three years ago in São Paulo by friends Isabela Frugiuele, Bebel Fioravanti and Carla Franco. From what we've seen in Triya's collection, they delivered in the promise to offer designs that are differentiated and in producing "non-disposable fashion" pieces. Inspired in Africa and safari elements, the collection brought us lots of animal prints, tribal patterns, scratch-like laser cut details and wild patches. The result is a creative composite of glamour-jungle designs. Bravo!



So there you have it: four great labels gave us a peek of what's to come for the next season - and the good news keeps coming! Paulo Borges, Fashion Rio's director announced next year's event will increase the amount of swimwear designers presence by two-fold. Besides Salinas, Lenny Niemeyer, Triya and Blue Man that participated this year, we can look forward to seeing Cia Marítima, Água de Coco, Movimento and Paola Robba.
