Fashion Rio Summer 2012: Triya
by The Splash

The exciting and innovative beachwear created by swimwear designer Isabela Frugiuele was back at the Fashion Rio's runways, after a successful debut last year. Triya, once again invested heavily in differentiated patterns and silhouettes to deliver an inspired and sophisticated collection. Highlights: a bent towards a more conservative, retro silhouette (pure glamour!) and the beautiful styling - hair & makeup were spot on in making the models look like sirens who had just emerged from the ocean to grace us with their enigmatic and entrancing presence!

Inspiration
There were two: the depths of the oceans and the depths of the feminine soul. The secrets, mysteries and the most intimate thoughts of those introspective girls, and the ocean of emotions stirring inside them.

Palette & Silhouettes
Purple, violet, lavender, blues and black were prominent in the collection, in harmony with the more serious theme of the line. Cuts were more conservative, with lower bottoms and higher waists. Pearls, algae, corals were all represented, as well as beautiful geometric prints. Innovative silhouettes permeated the collection with cuts that give a breath of fresh air in the swimwear scene. The Triya girl is chic, with a massive enigmatic appeal and she wears her swimwear at or off the beach. With this collection, Triya shows us again that is an urban, progressive swimwear label with a sophisticated palate.
